TANDEM Köln is an official telc examination centre (www.telc.net). We offer 10 different examinations for all levels of German reaching from A1 ("Start Deutsch A1", beginners) to university level C1 ("telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule"). We will be happy to you help you find out which examination best suits your plans and counsel you on how to prepare for it.
TANDEM Köln is offering preparation courses for the more common telc examinations, which can easily be combined with our intensive courses. These preparation courses consist of 40 lessons of 45 minutes each (36 plus 4) and run for a total of seven weeks. Classes take place twice per week, each appointment with 135 minutes (3 lessons). The aim of the course is to provide you with all necessary oral, written and reading skills by giving you useful tips on how to complete difficult exam tasks, simulating examination situations, as well as receiving detailed feedback from our teachers.
There will be a special preparation class consisting of 6 lessons (270 minutes) taking place on a Saturday before your telc exam. All sections of the exam will once more be carefully reviewed in detail to make sure you are perfectly prepared.
A note regarding success rates and criteria:
A participant is considered to have passed the exam if they have reached 60% of the overall score in the written as well as the oral part.
In the last two years, 78% of our participants have passed their telc examinations, more than half with a "gut" (grade B) or even "sehr gut" (grade A).
