TestDaF is a standardized German language exam which assesses your proficiency level from B2 to C1. The TestDaF exam can be taken 6 times per year in registered TestDaf centers which are situated throughout the world. There are several TestDaf centers located in Cologne.
The participant must obtain a C1 (TDN 4) level in the TestDaf exam in order to study at a German university. This level is equivalent to the DSH-Zertifikat (university language exam).
Tandem Köln is offering a special TestDaF preparation course. The course consists of 60 lessons of 45 minutes (54 plus 6 lessons) and runs for a total of six weeks. Classes take place twice per week, each appointment with 135 minutes (3 lessons). One of the appointments of the TestDaf preparation class consists of 4 lessons (180 minutes) which takes place on a Saturday before the TestDaf exam.
The aim of the course is to provide you with all necessary oral, written and reading skills by giving you useful tips on how to complete difficult exam tasks, simulating examination situations, as well as receiving detailed feedback from our teachers. All sections of the exam are carefully reviewed in detail during this lesson.
A note regarding success rates and criteria:
A participant is considered to have passed the exam if they have reached TestDaF level 3 (TDN 3) and is then awarded the certificate. To enrol at a German university, however, at least TDN 4 is required in all four parts of the test. For further information, please see http://www.testdaf.de/teilnehmer/tn-home.php.
In the last two years, over 75% of our participants have passed their TestDaF examinations with a TDN 3 or even TDN 4.
